The CAF is a volunteer organization, with members from all walks of life, dedicated to preserving the history of the people and planes of World War II and the promotion of aviation. Sassy SNJ ride is for one person, who rides in the two-seat cockpit behind the pilot. The flight time lasts approximately 30 minutes from take-off to touchdown. Depending upon weather and the preferences of the passenger, the sight-seeing flight may be either over the coast and San Diego Bay or over the scenic mountains east of San Diego.
