David "Slammer" Casey

Friend to all, Fighter Pilot, American Airline Captain, Red Eagle Air Show pilot went west on 14 January 2014. David first got the flying 'bug' when he was 12 after flying with his Uncle and in 1972 joined the USAF.  He spent 30 years in the Air National Guard flying mostly F-4 Phantoms.  "Slammer" flew 25 combat missions with the Air Force, was an instructor pilot, flight examiner and Phantom demo pilot.  Dave flew professionally as an American Airlines Captain and flew many aircraft for recreation such as the Morrisey, YAK-52 and RV-8A.

Thank you "Slammer" for the inspiration, godspeed and we will meet you out west.
